2018-2019 Scholarship Applications Now Open

The Smoky Hills Charitable Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2018-2019 school year. Eight scholarships are available to students in Ellsworth County:

  • Charles and Velma Westerman Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors or graduates of Ellsworth High School.
  • Dawn L. Pruitt Memorial Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors or graduates of Ellsworth High School.
  • Eleanor Hunter Scholarship, for graduating Wilson High School seniors.
  • Fran Malir Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Wilson High School seniors.
  • Geraldine L. Anschutz Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Wilson High School seniors.
  • Jack R. Janousek Memorial Scholarship for graduating high school seniors or graduates of Ellsworth High School planning to major in either meteorology or the medical field.
  • Lila Jean (Warta) Young Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Ellsworth High School seniors planning to go into a medical profession.
  • Mary Hanzlicek Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Wilson High School seniors who are members of Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church and attend CCD and CYO.

All scholarship applications must be submitted through the foundation’s online scholarship portal by March 1, 2018. Scholarships will be awarded by mid-May. The portal and scholarship guidelines can be found at www.smokyhillscf.org/scholarships.
