Community foundation awards over $61,000 in fall grants

Community foundation awards over $61,000 in fall grants ELLSWORTH, Kan.— During its fall grant cycle, the Smoky Hills Charitable Foundation awarded over $61,000 to 12 projects throughout Ellsworth County. The following organizations received funding: City of Kanopolis, $13,400 for repair and improvements to the Quonset.City of Ellsworth, $10,000 to purchase a shelter and complete the sidewalk connection to the splash park. City of Lorraine, $8,300 to purchase a mosquito fogger for the city.Central Kansas Mental Health Center, $5,857 for scholarships to participants in the Mental Health First Aid program.Wilson Tourism Hub, Inc., $5,000 for supplies to document community stories.Ellsworth County Cares, $4,890 for preservation and updates to the building at 205 W[...]
