Smoky Hills Charitable Foundation accepting spring grant applications

The Smoky Hills Charitable Foundation is now accepting applications for spring grants. Online applications are due Friday, March 15, 2019.

Over $117,000 is available through the following funds:

  • Smoky Hills Community Fund – supports projects that improve quality of life for Ellsworth County residents.
  • Smoky Hills Healthy Living Fund/Kansas Health Foundation Fund – granted to projects that promote healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.
  • Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund – available for programs and projects that address education, health care, community social services and security, conservation and environment, arts and culture and community beautification.

Grants are limited to communities in Ellsworth County and will be awarded through a competitive application process. Nonprofit organizations, government and public entities, educational institutions and churches are encouraged to apply. Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on March 15.
