Hansen Foundation, estate planner John Griffen is now available to help families right here in Ellsworth County! John helps you navigate the considerations involved in estate planning while not only preparing your family for the future but providing you with peace of mind.
HERE ARE THE FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Donors who wish to make a charitable gift in their estate can meet with John Griffin, Estate Planned Giving Attorney, to help design a Trust and/or Will that best fits the individual or family’s wishes and needs, while going through what different tax advantages are available within their personal financial scenario. This opportunity is also available for anyone who wishes to have their current legal documents reviewed by John.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, there is no charge to participants within the Hansen 26-county region to utilize John’s service to draft or review a plan.
Once an outline is created, participants will work with their local / personal attorney (or an attorney can be recommended) to complete the final documents. It is at this point when it becomes the participant’s financial responsibility to pay for the legal costs associated with the attorney who finalizes the Trust and/or Will documentation on their behalf.
John will meet one last time with the participants and their attorney to review all final documents before signing.
Participants who choose to include a charitable gift component within their estate plan will work with us here at the Smoky Hills Community Foundation to establish a fund document that directs the foundation on how they wish their estate gift to be used.
