Weโre excited to announce that the ๐๐น๐น๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ต ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต & ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ (Ellsworth Recreation Department) has been awarded a grant to make this incredible community hub more comfortable and energy-efficient! Recreation Director Ronnie Tenbrink and his team are ready to bring new life to the center, and with this grant of $12,307.03, weโre excited to help fund upgrades that will benefit everyone who steps inside.
Here’s the plan: upgrading the lighting system with energy-efficient LED lights, which will replace the original 1954 fixtures still in use! Plus, theyโre preparing to activate attic fans that were part of the 2019 renovation but havenโt yet been put to work. These fans will make a huge difference, creating a cooler and more welcoming space for everyoneโfrom morning pickleball players to community event-goers.
This upgrade will have a lasting impact. With over 70 years of history, the Recreation Center has been a community cornerstone, supporting wellness, gatherings, and so much more. These improvements will keep it shining bright for generations to come.
