Smoky Hills Charitable Foundation scholarships now available

ELLSWORTH, Kan.—The Smoky Hills Charitable Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2022-2023 school year. The following four scholarship funds are available to students:

  • Eleanor Hunter Scholarship, for graduating Wilson High School seniors.
  • Fran Malir Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Wilson High School seniors.
  • Geraldine L. Anschutz Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Wilson High School seniors.
  • Mary Hanzlicek Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Wilson High School seniors who are members of Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church and attend CCD and CYO.

All scholarship applications must be submitted through the foundation’s online scholarship portal by February 15, 2022. Scholarships will be awarded by mid-April. The application portal and scholarship guidelines can be found at www.smokyhillscf.org/scholarships.

Last year, the community foundation awarded over $15,000 in scholarships to area students.
